With Memorial Day comes an opportunity to up the ante when it comes to your email marketing campaign, giving customers special deals to coincide with the unofficial kick-off of summer. Since most of your competitors will be running Memorial Day specials, it’s a good idea to showcase your own and your email newsletter blast is a great way to start. Using a creative email marketing campaign to alert your customers to what they can expect is an even better way to get them in the door.

Sense of urgency

Since the sale will likely only last Memorial Day weekend, emphasize on that time limit in your email marketing efforts. Perhaps using a “one day only” technique will grab some extra attention.

Special sales

Whatever your business might be, take advantage of putting products people will use over Memorial Day weekend on sale. Whether you’re a clothing boutique, grocery store or sports goods store, highlight anything people might buy specifically for the holiday.

Now is the time to get rid of those items left over from the winter months as we enter into the summer months. Use your email marketing campaign as a way to let customers know they can stock up for next winter with your sale.

Showcase your business is a leader in your area by including a round-up of Memorial Day events and happenings in your town in the email newsletter you create for your customers. Happy hours, barbecues and other specials are good to showcase; but even better would be an event you throw yourself.
